Healthy fruits and vegetables for the french bulldog

bulldog-diet-fruts-vegetables

The best way to feed our French bulldog is through a dry diet, with all the nutrients and proteins that their body needs, or a raw diet, but always supervised by veterinarians and canine nutritionists. However, sometimes it is not enough and it is worth supplementing your diet with other beneficial and natural products. Remember that not all foods are suitable for dogs, since some are highly toxic to their body.

Fruits:

Apple

Not only is it a very healthy and delicious fruit, but it also provides fiber and vitamins to our dogs. Avoid giving them the center of the apple (heart) as it contains seeds that are harmful to them.

Pear

Another delicious fruit that our furry ones love, a source of fiber and vitamins that will make them feel great. We must avoid giving them the center (heart) as it contains harmful seeds for them.

Banana

It is very curious to see a dog eat bananas but they love it. Bananas provide a lot of potassium and carbohydrates, which will be great for our dogs. Beware of excesses since prolonged consumption of bananas can constipate them.

Melon and Watermelon

Delicious fruit that they also love, a great source of vitamins and folic acid, ideal for keeping our dogs well nourished. We must avoid giving them the seeds / nuggets as they are harmful.

Peach and Apricot

Our dogs love it, they are also a great source of vitamins and amino acids, ideal for supplementing our dog’s diet. You have to remove the inner bone / seed before giving them, as it is toxic to them and they could also choke.

Strawberries

Ripe strawberries are an exquisite snack for our furry friends, although we must be careful not to abuse them. They contain a large amount of vitamins, fiber and folic acid.

oranges

Another exquisite fruit ideal for our pets, it contains a large amount of vitamin C and fiber. In addition to many other vitamins and amino acids. We must give sweet oranges, bitter oranges may not be so beneficial for them.

Papaya and Mango

In its optimal state of maturity our dogs love it. They are very sweet and a source of vitamins and fiber. A delight for our dogs (we must avoid giving them the bone / seeds).

Blueberries and Blackberries

Excellent and full of vitamins and antioxidants, but we must give them only from time to time since in excess or continuously they may not be beneficial.

Vegetables:

Spinach

This vegetable helps our dog to regulate the intestinal movement thanks to its fiber content. In addition, it is rich in vitamins A, C, E, B and F. We must provide this vegetable to our dog raw, well washed and chopped, otherwise it could get stuck in the throat and cause significant damage.

lettuce and cabbage

Both vegetables are rich in iron, antioxidants and have analgesic and purifying properties. Before giving the dog these products, we must also wash and chop them to avoid possible suffocation.

Celery

Just as celery is highly beneficial for us, it is also for our dog. Of course, in moderate amounts, washed and well chopped. It is also a powerful natural antioxidant, so important to maintain our dog’s health in perfect condition, it is diuretic, digestive, anti-inflammatory and strengthens the immune system. It is ideal for dogs with arthritis, as it helps reduce pain. You can provide this vegetable in its natural version, or prepare a juice and give it to your dog once a month, in the morning and on an empty stomach.

Green beans and peas

Rich in vitamins A and C and with antioxidant, digestive and, above all, energetic properties, these vegetables are highly beneficial for our dog in moderate amounts. If your dog is a dog that is not used to chewing food, do not give it peas, it could choke.

Carrot

We can say that they are one of the best vegetables for dogs not only for their antioxidant, cleansing and digestive properties, but also for their ability to strengthen their teeth. We will provide you with a good piece of peeled carrot for you to chew and help you eliminate bacterial plaque.

Pumpkin

It is recommended, above all, for dogs suffering from constipation. It is rich in fiber, antioxidant and diuretic, so we can provide it in a moderate way, always peeled, chopped and seedless.
